Welcome

The Mt. Airy Chapter of the IWLA is an all-volunteer nonprofit wildlife conservation and shooting club, with 2 skeet fields, 7 trap fields,  a 100-yard rim fire range, a 25, 50, 100, 200, and 300-yard centerfire range, and a 25-yard pistol range, a steel pistol range also a archery range.
The rifle and pistol ranges all have covered pavilion firing positions. Hunting is permitted on the club property (over 150 acres) during hunting season.

 

Skeet an Trap are open Thursday (5:30p – 8:30p) and Saturday (10am – 2pm) 

This Week 1/16/25 and 1/18/25 Skeet and Trap are closed. We are snow covered. 
 
       

Upcoming Events

  • Mt. Airy Sharpshooters (Scholastic Clay Target Program) – March – June (in person registration January 21 at the Mt Airy Library) 
  • Spring Skeet League:  Wednesday evenings from April 9th to May 14th
  • Summer Trap League:  Tuesday evenings from June 10th to July 15th
  • Fall Skeet League:  Wednesday evenings from September 17th to October 22nd
  • Monthly 5 Stand Events: Many (See flyer)
  • Skeet and Trap Clinics: Many (See flyer)
  •  Sign ups for the leagues will start approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the first week.
 

Monthly membership meetings start @ 700pmFood is  being served at 6pm. January meeting food is Turkey Burgers , Brownies, and Chips
