Izaak Walton League - Mt Airy Chapter


The Mt. Airy Chapter of the IWLA is an all-volunteer nonprofit wildlife conservation and shooting club, with 2 skeet fields, 7 trap fields, an 18 position archery range (in the woods), a 100-yard rim fire range, a 25, 50, 100, 200, and 300-yard big bore range, and a 25-yard pistol range.
The rim fire, big bore, and pistol ranges all have covered pavilion firing positions. Hunting is permitted on the club property (over 150 acres) during hunting season.

Club Update - 10-27-2022

For safety reasons:  the Mt Airy IWLA Chief Range Safety Officer has closed the rifle, skeet, pistol, rimfire, archery and trap ranges, for the entire day, on December 1, 2022.

In September, the club adopted a concealed carry policy.  You can find this on the Club Policy Page here.


Oct 13th – Tonight’s Skeet and Trap practive have been cancelled due to the weather.


Thursday night Skeet and Trap price increase effective Friday July 22, 2022.
